metal not quite as heavy as original, fitment not quite exact(slightly shorter height), but with minor adjustments(bending), looks very good.

can't go wrong with SONY
I have all Sony near or top-of-the-line A/V components(& even a 15yr old cordless phone)except for speakers & when my 10 yr old VCR broke, I wanted an exact replacement, but I dicovered that Sony no longer manufactures stand-alone VCR's. In my experience,all Sony products are top quality & I would never consider purchasing any other mid-price range electronics. This is my first used product, & so far it works like new

Cheap part. Buy the REAL GM part
This at least half the weight of the original.The plastic is thinner & the spring has much less tension. The shape, texture, & appearance are almost, but not exactly the same. This is a little shinier & smoother. It feels like it will weather a lot quicker & break more easily than the OEM. (An oncoming truck on a dark 2 lane highway sheared off my S10's). For about 1/3 the price GM asks, I guess it's worth it, but had I seen it first, I probably would have sprung for the $79 'Genuine GM'
I'm amending my previous review. The item is all of the above but I've noticed that the glass vibrates even on a smooth road @ lower speeds. Slightly rough pavement, higher speeds vibration is very noticeable & also very annoying & irritating. I won't even mention what happens with heavy bass! The passenger side & as I recall, the original mirror are completely steady in all above mentioned conditions, except heavy bass caused slight vibration. If I can't figure out some patch or mod to remedy this, I will be replacing ASAP with an OEM
