Hipshot G/B Bender
1 of 1 found this helpful Awesome piece of gear. I bought a cheap Tele to install the bender on, because I didn’t want to screw up anything on my regular go-to Tele. When I learn how to use the bender properly and comfortably I’ll probably transfer it to my better guitar. Pay close attention to the instructions and you can install it pretty easily. The hardest thing about it was getting the darn cardboard off that protects the chrome on the unit (I ended up using needlenose pliers).
Expected problem: the lever for the G-bender is in my way when I’m playing, and if I move it it’s too far away to grab quickly. I’m going to have to adjust my playing position to compensate. This is not a huge issue, as the G-bender won’t be used as much as the B-bender. Still, it’s something to consider.
Also, be sure to lubricate your bridge saddles, nut, and the cams on the bender. It really helps your guitar stay in tune.
Overall, a great and fun addition.
