Acer Display 23" |G236HL BBD

It's OK, but there are better choices

I bought this monitor because I was budget minded. In this respect the G236HL delivered. The stand was difficult to fit. I had to push so hard that I was afraid I would break something. Compared to the Samsung monitors that we have at our office, the quality of the G236HL is inferior. The colors are not as vibrant. Legibility is good, though. Of course, this comparison is not completely fair because we paid more for the Samsungs. Thus follows: The Acer is a good value for the money. If you can afford to pay more, then I would recommend something else.

Good value for the money, like the curve but other monitors are a little sharper.

I consider this screen a good value. I was shopping with monetary constraints which is why I selected this C27. I know firsthand that Sceptre can produce a good quality monitor. Their Z27 model is top-notch. The C27 is less so. Image quality is good, but not outstanding. The same size but non-curved Samsung screen that I use side-by-side with this monitor has a sharper image. Then again, the Samsung cost a lot more. The curved view is nice. This is particularly useful as I use this monitor as the second (non-main) screen. The colors look good as well. Most likely, if I didn't have the other screen to compare it with, I'd be perfectly happy with it and gave it five stars. I certainly will keep it.

My favorite SSD brand. Kingston does the job.

Kingston SSD's are fabulous. This is the only brand I buy, both privately and in my capacity at the company where I am the IT manager. The majority of the 60 PC's that my company owns run with a Kingston SSD. These SSD's extend the useful life of any PC. They perform well and are reliable. This particular purchase was for the installation in a Lenovo M93p desktop with turned into a screamer.
