Created the oily green foam in the skimmers
It seemed to work at the first day as I saw the white foam floating (I assume it is the dead algae.) However, green algae came back next day. I ended up applying 2 and quarter gallon within 4 days for my 17,000 gallon salt water pool, and ran the pump overnight with super-chlorine setting. Next morning, I found the sticky oily green foam in both skimmers. I removed them, backwashed the DE filter and ran the pump again. It keeps creating the white foam floating on the water surface and the oily green foam in the skimmers.
