It will help you get sharp knives if you work with it

What I like is that it is adjustable. Works good on longer, and wider blades. I was able to reshape the blade angle on all my kitchen knives and get them extremely sharp. Was also able to sharpen and old ww2 K BAR also came out very sharp. Dislikes include: There were 8 of the 12 stones were loose from the plastic backing that keeps them in the tool. I was able to re glue them with super glue and clamps and the worked. I would recommend the factory use more adhesive there. There were only 3 small dabs of glue. There are different thickness of stones. The overall height is different, causing the angle to slightly different. The 2000 and 3000 grit stones are like a crushed Dimond dust and the shortest in height. I didn't use them. The more aggressive stones either plugged up or was worked smooth almost to the 400 grit level. I'm not sure if it was designed for use on the old really hard steel use in old knives. Over all, it is a satisfactory product. I f you understand how to over come the challenges life before you. And does a better job the the elecrtic belt or stone types out there.
