VIP 922
I had a VIP 722K that went south. Since I didn't want to be an early adopter of the Hopper 4k, I wanted to try the 922 before I made the transition. I realize that the 922 has had some less than stellar reviews in the past, but so far so good. The main difference for me, from the 722 is the guide format and the much faster search function.

Chimney mount for dish
I used one of these to mount a Dish 500 on my chimney. I downloaded the directions and followed them except I waited to add the dish mount until the Winegard mount and straps were installed and slightly tightened. Once the satellite mount and pole are installed, I recommend getting a post level and fasten it on the pole while doing the final tensioning so the pole will be plumb and true.

Works well, runs warm...
I paid attention to the other reviewers and ordered a fan to help cool this adapter. Even with the fan, it still is warm, but not hot. As for the adapter's function, I haven't had any problems with receiving 2 local stations at the same time. Signal level is about the same as my previous Dish DVR which had the OTA plug in "cartridge".
