It works great!
We have a side by side MayTag refrigerator model RSD2000 from the previous owner of our house. The inside temperature would start increasing after a week or two of working and we would have to unplug it for a day to let the ice around the coil melt. After inspecting the defrost timer at the bottom (the map behind the refrigerator helped locating it) and also opening the panel inside the freezer, I found out that the heating element is the culprit. This defrost heater element was exactly the same size like the older one and has been working fine so far, so it saved the refrigerator. Replacing it was not too easy but was doable. The price is also great. Regarding the durability, we’ll have to see how long it lasts. So for now I recommend it. I’ve shared few pictures I took during the replacement.
