Good tools are worth their weight in gold
This pair of sprue cutters costs about the same as gold, or so it seems, but they are WELL worth the price. They cut through plastic sprue like a knife through soft butter. They are an extremely well crafted precision cutting tool, and given how much a modeler uses their sprue cutters, investing in a good pair is a good idea. But these cutters aren't good, they are GREAT. Highly recommended for any serious modeler of plastic model kits.

This kit is phenomenal in its detail
2 of 2 found this helpful Every so often a new kid comes to town to shake up the hobby. When it comes to 1/700th scale ship models, this new kid is Flyhawk. This kit of the HMS Prince of Wales is nothing short of amazing. The fidelity of detail on the injection molded plastic parts is unbelievable. Many of the parts are scale thickness when you wouldn't have believed scale thickness was achievable in this scale. Great care needs to be taken to remove some of the very small parts from their sprues, but care will be rewarded with superior detail over the competition's product. Included in this edition of the kit were three frets of PE brass parts, and again, the detail is phenomenal. Tiny spiders must have been employed to weave such delicate photo etch. Also included are turned brass barrels for a number of the gun turrets. Again, amazing detail. Simply put, if you want one of the best 1/700th ship kits going, don't hesitate to purchase a copy of Flyhawk's HMS Prince of Wales!
