Best of the Best
My personal favorite among Adams' many picture books, this one features his stunning images of Calitfornia, both landscapes and people, augmented with selected passages from writers including Steinbeck, Stevenson, Stegner, and Didion. A wonderful coffee-table book, slim enough to have comfortably in your lap, and a fascinating literary/photographic tour of the Golden State.
