    Monarch of the Glen
I first saw parts of this BBC long running drama on a local PBS channel. The sound was awful, the film broke a number of times, episodes were put on in the wrong order...and yet...and yet...I was utterly charmed and knew that someday I would have a good copy of it for my own. The story line is reasonable if occasionally slightly contrived, the characters are likeable if not lovable and strongly individual and memorable. There is such a strong feeling of family that you are drawn in and feel that they ARE your own extended family and you wish to hear from them regularly if not more often. The setting is breath-taking and the crumbling castle they call home is a marvelous example, I suspect, of the realities of actually living in an ancient castle. The family is continually trying to find ways to make money to keep the ratty old thing from collapsing around them and they are basically a farm family with a rich heir who never dreamed of working. He dreams of climbing the Alps while they try various--usually disastrous--ways to actually bring some money in. Their fellow "Lairds" find their money making schemes appalling; they don't understand that one can be land-rich and money-poor...and it is Scotland, after all, land of the frugal. This is British dry wit at its best without losing the ability to create compassion for the characters and the hare-brained schemes they come up with to survive in a world that changed around them.

    Swiffer long handled dusters
AWESOME! I've used the small ones for years, but only just purchased the long handled one. LOVE it! I'm short and old and don't think it wise to be climbing ladders too high to clean. Solution. My ceiling fans were really filthy on top. Now they aren't. YAY!! Great product, great price, fast ship.

    Another AWESOME "gadgety" thang
I use these for all of my insurance and credit cards. The envelopes keep them neat and clean and they are easy to slide out of my wallet. I've been using them for years and can't imagine NOT using them.
