“Father Christmas”: The Story That Will Cure Your Holiday Stress
I remembered “Father Christmas” from reading it to my twin boys when they were young. They’re 38 now(!) so you can imagine the impression this little story made on me to remember it all these years. Every Christmas for a while, I tried looking it up on EBay or Amazon and it always looked like it wouldn’t be here in time for gifting. This year, I ordered it for myself! And I was not disappointed — even read some of it to my boys who, shocker, remembered it also! The author created this amazing story about what Santa does BEFORE his magical trip on December 24th, as well as afterwards. It’s silly stuff like feeding the reindeer and pouring a hot cup of tea (with a touch of grog!) after his long, one day task. Just delightful! And dare I say that, with all the craziness and stress of the holidays, “Father Christmas” is actually somewhat healing. I’m reading it every year; my boys can listen in if they want!
