You need the proper wiring harness for a smooth outcome..

What I researched showed two possible harnesses for my 1989 Oldsmobile Ciera. I picked the correct one with this order. It makes hooking up a car stereo easy.

What I have read, CDI makes a superior replacement part for Johnson/Evinrude ignition parts. Very pleased. Easy to install. Fixed my intermittent problem.
