Bit quirky, but a Phenomenal Set
I was leery about Vizio. Have an amazing LG UHD 65” in living room. Got this 50” for my office. It isn’t as good as the LG, but it is very close.
Only gripe is around some of the quirky nature of HDR. I know it’s early and there are like HDR compatibility issues. It does HDR very well, but the issue is whether it plays nice with the source.
Clear and clean 4k picture. I was and continue to be surprised by the picture quality. You may want to pick up a sound bar to match as sound us not the best, though. It’s a bit unusual in some areas, but where it counts, this is a beast. Also, it is great that a push of the info button on the remote tells you what picture mode is being rendered; 1080 or 2160 HDR.
If you can’t afford Samsung or LG, this is a terrific alternative. I have no qualms in giving the Vizio E50-E1 a recommendation. You will not find anything like it in this price range and frankly, actually, it may be a bit underpriced. If you look, there are great deals on this set out there.

Great Sound System
More than a sound bar. This is incredible. Short of a full 5.1 system and dedicated receiver, this is as good as you can get for under $700.
