1 of 2 found this helpful After dis assembly of a problematic laptop that over heated and shut down, I applied this paste to the CPU and other chips that had thermal paste (you need to clean and remove old thermal paste well) and applied a decent amount of Arctic silver 5 to each area, the less is more argument is false, you need to apply the right amount and that usually is a tiny bit more than you think for good cooling, good product, just clean the CPU, dust from air vents and fan and other heatsink contact points first by removing old paste and make them a mirror shine with rubbing alcohol and it will do the job well.
