About
Hello! People of the world
My name is MAYA. I live in Japan. I was saddened by the fact that many of the centuries-old Japanese silk fabrics are not made into kimonos, but are distributed as vintage items and eventually discarded. I thought, "Why don't we cut them up and use them as works of art to be displayed in people's homes around the world instead of discarding them?"
I decided to start "KIMONO ART MAYA" to sell silk fabrics used for kimonos in frames to the world. My wish is that through this activity, kimono materials destined to be discarded will continue to live on the walls of people's rooms around the world.
