Pretty color and very soft
I bought this nightshirt because of the lavender/lilac color, the longer length and the pretty pattern. (The accompanying socks were irrelevant to me, but a thoughtful bonus.) I would have been disappointed if the texture of the nightshirt had been thermal, itchy or stiff, but I was pleased to find this nightshirt very soft, in a chenille kind of way.
The biggest draw for me was the laveneder/lilac color. Any other color and I probably would not have purchased at this price. And the pattern being "Forest" was very appealing; rather than a pattern of whimsical kittens, hearts or stars, etc.; which would have been a turn-off for me.
The longer length was important to me as well. Not what I would call a "good value", but more of a somewhat irresistible treat. Cannot say if quality will hold up as I've had it only a couple of weeks.

Adirka Boots.... comfy and cute + seem well made.
I bought these pre-owned, so, already broken-in. The boots seem well made (time will tell), but comfort is worth a lot to me, practically priceless, and so far these boots are very comfortable. Whether they are comfortable when new I cannot say; because, as I said, I got them already broken-in. I can say that after they are broken-in they are very comfortable. I'm very satisfied at this point.
FYI, my bare foot is exactly 10 inches long and is a bit wide. I bought the Adrika boots in women's US size 8.5 and they fit perfect and are wide enough.

Cookie dough was the goal... so far, I am very pleased!!
4 of 4 found this helpful I wanted a stand mixer. I was temporarily dazzled by the thought of having a designer-colored, trendy, KitchenAid mixer; but those are so expensive considering I bake only once or twice a week. Besides, my goal was not to impress people with an expensive super-popular KA mixer sitting like a trophy on my countertop for all to see. What I really need is a reliable, good quality mixer that with average moderate use will hopefully last for years. After researching a few brands + reading many reviews I decided on the Oster FPSTSMPL1 Planetary Stand Mixer. Though I was originally a tad disappointed w/ black being the only color option, upon unboxing my new mixer I was actually impressed with how pretty it is... sort of retro Art Deco style. If a KitchenAid mixer is a flashy Corvette, this Oster FPSTSMPL1 Mixer is a shiny black Cadillac with chrome trim.
The outer housing is metal, yet the overall unit is lightweight enough that I can easily tote it on and off a shelf in my pantry. (I've heard KA's are prohibitively heavy).
My main reason for wanting a stand mixer was for cookie dough. I've used this mixer about a dozen times now for cookie dough. I start at lower speed, then after ingredients blend togther a bit I turn up the speed as the batter smooths out. I want this mixer to last so I admit I've been babying it.
So far I am very pleased with this Oster mixer! Smooth running, easy to use, not overly loud, seems powerful and it has been very effective. Plus, I really like the shape, performance and quality of the non-stick dough attachment; it's perfect for my cookie dough.
I always knead all of my bread and pizza doughs by hand, so I cannot speak to this Oster's performance with those type of heavy doughs. That's not what I bought it for.
I paid $73 shipped for this Oster FPSTSMPL1 Planetary Stand Mixer.
I figured, easy-priced (cheapest) mixers are for lightest performance, easiest duty; while medium price-range mixers (like this Oster) are for medium/moderate duty... and high priced mixers are for high performance, heavy duty. To me, heavy pizza and bread doughs are in the heavy-duty range.
This Oster seems powerful enough that it could probably chug some heavy doughs; but I just won't, because I want my mixer to last a good long time.
I can only speak about what I've personally experienced. The Oster Stand Mixer is very attractive and seems sturdy and well-made. The stainless bowl, which easily locks into place on the stand, is great; deep & roomy with convenient side handles. I've had no problem with cookie dough not getting thoroughly mixed by the dough attachment. The Oster attachment does scrape the bowl sides fairly well; even still, I do stop the mixer at least once so I can compulsively use a little spatula to push the ingredients from the sides of the bowl down to the center, for the most thorough mixing; but I think most bakers do that, know matter which brand of mixer they own.
So far I really really like this mixer and I am so glad I bought it instead of a more expensive brand unit. But only time will tell whether this Oster FPSTSMPL1 Planetary Stand Mixer holds up in the long run.
At this point I have no regrets. Even my hard-to-impress, mechanically-gifted, frugal husband agrees it seems like a pretty good unit.
Based on my experience with it so far, for moderate duty use, I definitely would recommend this Oster Planetary Stand Mixer.
