Big Red Rock - Ayers Rock (2016, CD NEW)

Groundbreaking album from great Aussie band.

So happy to find a CD version of this seminal Jazz/Rock band. Loved Ayers Rock way back in the 70's when cutting edge bands such as these (Split Enz, Mother Goose, etc.) toured the University circuit and poor students such as myself could be blown away by the tight arrangements and inventive composition. As I had a much worn vinyl copy I was also very happy to see the bonus tracks on this recent CD release included some pieces I had not heard before. The sound mix is also nice and crisp. Thoroughly recommend. PS. Check out the 'Big Red Rock' clip on you tube.....a bit dated but still a great groove.
