Different but not indifferent
Unlike most UFO writers Matthews offers the evidence first and then considers theories afterwards. The common belief is that a UFO crashed in the area, was recovered by the US military and then has been hidden away ever since. Unless oyu lived in the USA during that time you would probably not believe how easy it was for the military of any country to cite security to ensure lasting silence from any witneses. The only real fact about Roswell is that the spokesmen for the USAF have consistently lied about its involvement, everything else is hearsay, speculation or lies.
Matthews opens with the three events that spawned the UFO flap of the time, the Kenneth Arnold sighting, the Socorro landing and the Roswell crash. He explains what facts are available and presents the official explanations. What he does not do is present an explanation and then back it up with fact and speculation. Something was found in the area that excited interest. The USAF became involved and that was it for about 30 years. Since Stanton Friedman first unearthed the case all kinds of people have crawled out of the woodwork with second and third hand testimony. I cannot accept that everyone lied about what they saw, nor that anyone really knew what happened.
What I am sure of is that the USAF will NEVER come clean. After so many years of lies, obfuscation and distraction, the only thing I believe about governments is that they all lie.

Punish the pirates
I've been using Corel Draw since 3.5 and love the programme. I have upgraded to X6 because of what I consider to be questionable business tactics by Corel. Having said that. I have invested years in the progamme and have gigabytes of Corel based files, so I can't exactly stop using it.
The problem? Protexis. It's a bit like Windows authentication, and if it decides your copy is illegal, it stops you using it, just as Windows 7 did (twice to me, no help from Microsoft except to buy two more licenses).
When I recently upgraded to Windows 7, my copy of Corel X5 locked up due to Protexis. After a long email exchange with Corel I was able to use Corel X5 for a month, and then was locked out again by Protexis. Bearing in mind I have been registered with Corel for more than 10 years.
I would not use any other programme and have found this version does not seem to invoke Protexis. I would recommend it for power and ease of use, if not support from Corel.
