Plug & play regardless of trim level.
This part was plug-and-play, since I had the wiring harness in my liftgate. My car has a salvage title, and whoever did the work put on whatever parts they could find, including a liftgate of the wrong trim level, which didn't have a backup camera when it should have. So I bought this part after confirming that the wiring was there even for a lower level of trim. Works perfectly--backup view is visible on the MMI monitor in the dash.
