Buy a different camera.
I wasn’t too fussy in my quest for a home outdoor camera but this thing is a huge let down in many ways. Motion sensitivity even when turned down to 1, will warn you of local trees that may pose as a threat to your neighbourhood. Although upon inspecting the 386 captured motion events of the trees moving, they appear to be getting no closer to our home or becoming a clear visible threat (as yet). Only had for 2 days and already it’s had “playback failed” when out of the house and trying to see “captured events”, so while it may be warning us of a potential threat, or tree… we can’t actually SEE what the threat is, which sort of defeats the purpose of a security camera? And while the LIVE view still works during the “playback failed” it’s still a bit pointless as you’ve already missed the intruder entering your yard or home, cant can’t rewind the LIVE view to see WHO triggered your camera. Mounting is also only via magnet, so if the thief had half a brain, they could grab the camera or just blow gently on it, and it’ll fall down. Also, the app is FULL of broken english and poorly worded instructions / directions, especially through some of the more advanced settings. Support is non existent, tried through their app, it says im #1 in the queue to be helped but after an hour waiting for a live chat, nothing happened. I do have an EZVIZ indoor camera and so far i seem to be winning the battle with that one, stay tuned i guess, but for now… don’t buy this camera. Unless you need it for tree movement detection.
