Use 8270 driver for Windows 7 computers
2 of 2 found this helpful The HP 8250 Scanjet is a good large format (8.5 in. x 14 in.) scanner with useful features. You can sometimes find these at a bargain price because the product is no longer supported -- HP did not release a Windows 7 full-featured driver. Also, Ubuntu is not an option because, as another reviewer noted, the ADF won't work. However, there IS a Windows 7 driver for a similar model, the 8270 Scanjet, which you can download from the HP website and use instead. I have scanned thousands of pages and it works quite well.
