Riveting. You are in for a treat with this film.
I had never seen this movie but I am so glad now that it is on my shelf. It will b a movie that I watch again and again. There was something very special about the magic that John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara had and I never tire of seeing them together. I think they are my favourite couple. This movie is black and white but if you love any material that John Wayne put together, you will definitely enjoy it as much as I did. It keeps you on the edge of your seat in quite a lot scenes because it is a story that takes you into it. The acting is superb, as one can expect. I love now seeing the many actors that John always wanted with him in his movies, like Ward Bond and Harry Carey Jr. I won't spoil the movie for you to say what it is about but all I will say is, 'if one has friends like John Wayne's character does in their movie', then we are very, very blessed indeed. When you see John Wayne with tears in his eyes, you know you have seen a truly moving film. The movie is based on a true story. A true gem to own.

Excellent. Well worth reading. It is lovely to know the man behind the name.
The story brings back good memories of me watching Dave and laughing (even as a child his humour appealed to me). I highly recommend this book to all of those who loved watching Dave Allen. May he be resting in peace with his God.

It arrived in pieces
The necklace arrived in a padded bag but when I took it out of its plastic packet, it fell apart in my hands. The wire that holds the pieces together was broken and the necklace was in pieces.
Very disappointing. It is a shame because the choker would have been very nice to wear.
