Great movie, not great DVD.
No problem with the movie itself at all. It is wonderful. The problem is that the production of the DVD does not reach the same high standard. Adjusting the ratio of the movie height to width to fit the modern TV widescreens is off, as is common to many remakes to DVD. As a result, all the actors are proportionally a little shorter and a little wider than in life. Big is not always better.

An old movie that deserves restoration. It is the true story about the planning and execution of a big picture idea that wholly depended on attention to minute details, by someone with imagination and conviction.
