Worked great for less than 10 months and 20 uses...
The step seemed to be sturdy to step on, easy to deploy and stow but it lasted less than a year, hopefully mine was just a quality slip up and the rest are built better than mine. The yoke that engages a pin that sits on the spring broke, I heard it break and I saw the little piece that broke off fall on the ground, after it broke, I could not stow the step because the spring was jammed on the cam, (lucky it broke at home) I ended up taking it apart to get it off of my truck so I wouldn't have to drive around with it deployed. The yoke seems to be some kind of molded metal and I think it's just not strong enough to be on such a strong spring, a machined piece would have lasted forever. I kind of just placed it back together to take the pictures after I took it apart. After removing the assembly from my truck, I had to use heat to get the set screw out, I clamped the spring, and I had to pound the pin out to take it apart. There was quite a bit of corrosion on the pins and bushings, the step pad still looks good.
