Good value machine
Came in one heavy box (52kg) so can be tricky to move around. Once inside all parts were present. The instructions did not entirely reflect the parts supplied so took a little time to identify but basic assembly was straightforward after that. Fixing the 2 halves of the drum together is fiddly as the rubber gasket has a mind of its own. I overcame this by using thin string to tie the gasket to the lower drum half through each of the bolt holes. As I inserted each bolt and loosely tightened, I was able to withdraw the string and complete the assembly.
The only real problem encountered was securing the drum to the motor shaft. The thread in the motor shaft did not run deep enough to allow the drum to be fully tightened. I overcame this by adding 2 x M16 washers to the bolt in addition to those supplied. This took up the slack and secured the drum fully.
Having overcome this problem the mixer has performed perfectly and in my view is ideal for small to medium home projects - mine is being used to mix bedding mortar for a large area of paving. Much better than mixing by hand!
