As rotary mags go, this one works.
Not a fan of rotary mags, but the Ruger 10/22 works and is only somewhat more of a pain to disassemble and clean than a single stack. This one is transparent, so I do not need to count cartridges. If you do disassemble, you need 3 rotations of the spring on re-assembly, unless the spring is old. Never mind what Ruger says. If you use them, you need to clean them. If you clean them, you have to take them apart.

Fits Buck Mark micro; well made; replace the dull rod
1 of 1 found this helpful I mounted this on a Buck Mark micro (same threads and curvature as Ruger Mark II/III). Perfect fit. The replaceable "lite pipes" work and are a great idea. But HiViz should be called LoViz. The fiber optic rods are very dull. I replaced the red with 2mm rod I bought several years back (to improve my Para). Cut to length, the new rod fit fine (sort of popped in the back) and I bulbed the front with my lighter. The new sight is the cat's meow.

great upgrade, but not easy to install
1 of 1 found this helpful Much easier to use than the black ramp S&W puts on the 617. And I much prefer red to green fiber optics. But this is not simple to install. You will need a very small punch to remove the roll pin (I used a .05 inch allen key). The HiViz is not pre-drilled, so you must install it and mark it, then remove it and drill a very small hole (#54 bit). If you do not have a drill press, you must at least have a press to hold the new sight. It is slightly oversized, so I filed off some metal before marking. I used a starter punch and a hand drill and got lucky (the hole was straight across and it is securely retained by the old roll pin). Very happy with the result.
