So you want to be a teenager? Christian guidance
For a preteen, many things are confusing. This book offers the Christian answers to help them put the world into perspective from a Godly view. It provides the foundation blocks of a character, written for basic knowledge level that preteens have. The authors explore tough situations that children may face, as they go through the preteen and teen years, advising kids to stay close to their parents, and remain pure, and not only tips, but a point of view to help preteens and teens alike to avoid peer pressure and remain proud of theirselves - even when going against the herd of popularity. Interactive discussion questions in back of book are for both parents and children, to help keep verbal communication open through the tough times, guide parents on tough discussions, and tips on visual aids that may be used to get your point across. I especially enjoyed the analogies the author provides. It's an easy read, and sensible faith led approach to preteen years - only time will tell if it works, but if nothing else, it will increase your child's confidence in saying no during the hard times, by offering them a Godly reason to avoid the traps of adolesence. I do strongly urge any parent that is going to give this book to their preteen to READ IT FIRST - not only for the ability to discuss the varying degrees of the book, but to ensure your child is ready for the full warnings that are described in this book regarding the dangers of this time in their life. Life altering and ending decisions can be made during the preteen and teen years, and that point is made very clear in this book. Your child does not have to be the Biblical Scholar to enjoy this book, but faith is definately needed - at some level, I would think, to easily accept the messages provided here. Passages do refer to specific King James version text, and easily cross references such.

Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
2 of 2 found this helpful This is an awesome book for the teenager - it covers everything you want your child to remember throughout the teen years. It includes 101 different short stories of life, love and learning. Helps make the well rounded teen - and helps them learn to make good concious, God loving choices. This book covers Relationships, friendship, family, love and kindness, learning, tough stuff, making a difference, and going for it. Tough stuff includes topics such as drinking, drinking and driving, trusting, who's a TRUE friend, and that some times, the tough thing to do is the RIGHT thing to do. My nephew now gives his time to the less fortunate, volunteering at handicap camps locally, and food drives/banks, and I feel this book played a big role in his compassion. Also, in finding and being happy with his self image. All books in this series are probably just as good, but I KNOW the first one was definately a book that was worth it's weight in gold to our family.

The best value for replacement on the Sensotouch - better than individual blade replacement. Smooth, rarely tugs. Easy to install, and clean. Includes head guard and brush, this is the most price concious and best quality replacement, short of spending an arm and leg for name brand. Best packaging, quick shipment for oversees product.
