Excellent Quality
Very high quality for holding your dial indicator. You need to be aware this model has a 1/4” hole and a 3/8” hole at the top end, and that if your dial indicator has a lug in the back with a hole in it, there’s no way to join the 2 holes together. You will need an accessory rod for doing that. Cost is around $10. I made one that is 1/4” on one end to fit the indicator and clamp the lug tightly, and the other end is 3/8” diameter, because the holder’s 3/8” hole clamps better than its 1/4” hole.

This Tool is for European Grinders and Will Not Fit U.S. Grinders
This tool fits only European metric grinder arbors, M14, or 14 millimeters. U.S. grinder arbors are typically 5/8"-11 threads per inch. The useless supplied adapter that will not fit U.S. grinders is M14 female x M10 female. You can buy another adapter for this adapter, an M14 male x 5/8-11 female, but then with 2 adapters the combination will be much too long. One way to use this tool is to buy a lathe, drills, and taps, and make your own adapter 5/8-11 female x M10 female. WARNING: You can buy a 5/8-11 female x M10 female online from Defusco, but the M10 threads are the wrong threads per millimeter and will not accommodate the Irwin cutter. Besides, it is too long. Also you will need to adapt the small diameter side tube to larger shop vacuum hose.
