The LP / HP switch adds extra boost, and tone control offers wide range of sounds
It is a bit higher priced then some, but build quality and great sound are worth it

Buy this tuner!
Tuner is extremely accurate, much better than tuner in Line 6 Pod hd500x
Display is big, bright and easily read
Love the polyphonic tuning mode, check all six strings at once
Includes BonaFide Buffer for longer cable runs.
I was skeptical of tuners after experience with hd500x built in tuner, but I love this Polytune 3 it is fast and accurate

Product looks OEM - It is at least OEM quality works good on Dell Studio 1736
