Excellent read for all those who enjoy scifi and fantasy.

I bought this book because I had a copy of "The Twelve" which is the second book in this series and I wanted to read this book first. I was not disappointed as it is an excellent read and I think comparable to "The Stand" written by Stephen King. I enjoyed reading the book from beginning to end and am eager to see how the story line and characters develope in the next book,along with new characters.Not your typical vampire or apocalyptic novel.
