A stylish mechanical wrist watch at a very affordable price.
The Seiko 5 movement has been made since 1969, Seiko must have made millions of them including the military version. At this point in time the CNC machines for production of this movement would have paid for themselves many times over, allowing these popular watches to be priced at a very attractive level. Add to that the fact that production has now been re-located to Malaysia thus reducing labor costs even further. Seiko's policy of 'in-house' design and manufacture has shown that a quality mechanical movement can be marketed for a reasonable price affordable to anyone who appreciates this situation. An excellent timepiece that doesn't have to set you back more than a year's salary! KK.
