DCC for you and me.

I decided to buy this book in order to enhance my knowledge of model railroading. My Dad had a wonderful train set when I was younger. I always wanted to hear sounds, and see more realistic stuff happen. This book really opened my eyes in terms of what I could use DCC control for. There are many good examples and it's an enjoyable read to boot.

Not quite there..

Consider Having the keys themselves light up. I missed this in the photo. If you turn on the back-lights under low light conditions. It is very difficult to see which key is which. The build quality is good enough. The price point good enough. Just nearly unusable in low light conditions which is the reason I purchased it.

Mackie UPS their game

I recently purchased the Mackie Pro fx16. When I first turned it on I treated it like all the other Mac keyboards that I purchased over the years. I expected a couple of button pushes hit everything would be running. No actually had to read the instructions and now it is running optimally. There's a bit of a learning curve but not that much. The equipment is built like everything else I've ever owned for Mackie. And that is like a tank. I look forward to years of trouble-free service from this new soundboard.
