Replacement Battery Part#L29184-005
This was a battery I purchased to replace an original battery calling for spare part #L29184-005 on my HP spectre 360 Bang and Olufsen.
The labeling of the battery on my specific labtop was discontinued so I needed to find a battery that could replace the original DF1043DX with the spare part stated earlier.
I looked everywhere and nothing could effectively display the battery percentage. The replacement battery I bought was this one after a third attempt due to faulty manufacturing from other batteries foreign countries like China and Sweden manufactured. This one was manufactured out of Germany so I trusted my gut to buy this one despite the up charge of 3X the competitive prices China and Sweden parts posted. The reason I don’t rate this five stars is because the communication bits in between the ground ports linking the green and white wires where I’m assuming are the ground cables linking the power ports. One of the pins needed to be flipped into the true position which made things difficult to troubleshoot and could very well have been the issue from the other batteries I bought as well. Thankfully the grounding worked and the communication to the battery signal was back up and running.
Again the 4 stars may have been 5, the only reason this product wasn’t 5 stars for me was the pricing and the bits to the power source were pinned backwards. This may very well be on my part for not being aware of the difference between DF0043DX and DF1043DX but thankfully I was able to get this fixed by flipping the ground pin in between the green and white wires to relay the communication signal to the power source. I’m overall pleased with the fast shipping as well as the accuracy of the battery as advertised. Had this been cheaper it would have been 5 stars but due to the labor to fix the pins and the overall costs I am happy to rate this 4 stars. I wish they would have included in the description the extra notes for batteries requiring the ground pins to be flipped. Regardless this is in hindsight and I hope this review helps anyone stressing over the same installation issues with their replacement battery. Specially for part #L29184-005
