Be sure to use fresh alkaline (not rechargeable) batteries
Sound quality is ok, using the delay function makes it not great but it is adequate.
Delay is in one-second increments up to 16 seconds.
On my copy, it was extremely hard to force three AA batteries into the battery compartment, I thought I would break the case. I tried recharchable batteries which barely fit, but the radio didn't work properly--tuning would jump around, memories didn't work, it was basically unusable.
However, I tried again to force regular alkaline AA batteries in and they did go in this time without breaking the radio, and then it worked.
There is a newer model of this radio which is better but has been unavailable for a couple years. This remains the only delayed radio available that I know of.

Easier to load than generic 35mm stainless reels
I find the regular stainless 35mm reels hard to load and often end up damaging some of the film. The first time I loaded a Hewes reel it worked right away. Highly recommended.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit, easy to install. Be sure to remove the thin protective film from the glass, at first I didn't realize it was there and was disappointed by poor photos. Then I saw the film, removed it, and now it works as it should.
