Very nice for the money; let's hope it holds up!
Figuring out the programming takes a few minutes -- note that when it says "press until" it doesn't mean it; someone wrote the manual who isn't an English-first individual (big shock.) But once you figure that out, it's easy to set and change.
I bought this for my cat to control his pigheaded eating desires; if you stick a feeder out with unlimited food in it, you'll soon find it empty, and I don't care to have a Garfield, so....
Thus far this does the job. You can set six times and portion sizes, and the portions are fine-grained enough with typical kibble (I use Iams) to provide the sort of portion control you're looking for. I like the locking top, which should prevent the cat from deciding to try to sabotage it to get to the stash within. Capacity is high enough for a single cat to handle at least a week should you use it for vacations (along with a waterer, of course); much beyond that and you need someone to come take care of kitty anyway unless you like your house to smell like litterbox to an extreme degree (and are willing to risk revulsion with same; trust me, you don't want that to happen.)
I left one star off because it's brand new and I have zero idea what sort of durability to expect. Assuming it lives up to expectations, which for me on an appliance like this means a couple of years, I'll be a happy camper.
Quite reasonable in price for what you get -- I like it.

Looks very good, with one caveat....

Well, there's only item -- the date code. It was in the *future* from when I received the battery, as you can see from the photo (2018-01-08.) You have to wonder about that, but with that said it appears to work well, it charges properly, the Android app "Accubattery" gives it ok marks on capacity (within the limits of its computation; it typically reads low by a couple hundred milliamp-hours from rated) so.......
My use is as a second battery, as the original was over a year old and while not dead by any means, it was fading a bit. So with that said and for the money it looks good.
