These are decent little harps. They're exactly as described, brand new, have good tone, are easy to carry, and are easy on the wallet so they won't leave you eating Ramen noodles for the rest of the month. Definitely recommend product and seller.

You get what you pay for
Everything works OK but there are little issues that are bothersome.
A) the stands are very light. The weight of the light boxes almost tips them. i bought small sandbags to anchor the stands after I had them positioned
B) Electrical cords are too short. if I remember correctly they are 7 feet long. They should be 12 feet long. The cord on the light box used with the boom won't even reach the floor when you wrap it around the boom but if you don't wrap it around the boom, then it's in the way of your camera shot. i had to use extension cords for the lights, something I don't like to do.
C) The pouch for the counterweight really isn't large enough to hold the weight needed to balance the boom arm.
D) The light boxes seem fragile. There are no instructions for mounting the steel rods that hold the light boxes in place. I had to put the first one together 3 times before I was able to get the light box in a "squared" position.
I would have liked to have a background stand that enabled me to position the background cloth directly against a wall. The type of stand prevents that. I finally drilled small holes in my ceiling molding (basement photo and music lab) and then pinned the background cloth to the wall with small paneling nails. It would be nice if i were able to get the boom lightbox higher above the photo object. The picture in the listing give you the sense that there is more room for adjustment in the stand tubes but there is not. Also, I would have liked a boom lightbox that had less depth and more square inches of lighting.
With all of that said, while the kit is not the greatest value but i guess stating that is is a "good" value is correct, I was able to make it work acceptably and it is an improvement over what I used before, which required constant adjustments to camera settings. In short, yes, I do recommend it, it's a good value if you're a beginner or you won't be moving it around frequently and the quality appears to be acceptable. As I said, it seems fragile so time will tell. So far, OK.

ZOMEI Q111 Professional Aluminum Tripod&Pan Head For DSLR Camera Video Live

Look for a SLR camera tripod? You found it
My camera came with a tripod. It's a real "TOY" compared to the ZOMEI Q111. This one will extent to a better height for my use and doesn't wobble or shake. I recommend it highly. An afterthought, the quick-release latch to release the camera from the tripod is a really nice addition.

Great laptop. Great value, Will probably buy another.
My 7 year old Dell laptop was dying slowly but surely. I had to pull all the data off the drive in October and have it re-installed but even then, it sometimes crashed multiple times per night. This had everything I wanted and more. I use it for my business so I don't have to be in my office in the evening. I can work in the living room with my wife in the chair right next to mine. It's a very fast machine and so far, Win 8 seems to be backward compatible with most of my XP programs, all of which I moved to a storage drive and then accessed with the Gateway rather than transferring the entire contents of the old laptop to the Gateway. Screen resolution is outstanding and the ability to monitor the internet connections (I use 3) is so easy. It came with a superb video card and there would be no reason, I think, to want to upgrade. It's movie quality but, of course, it's HD and HDMI capable. The only thing I kind of don't like is all the apps that were already on it, most of which I don't need or want. I'll probably, eventually, just remove them. My wife has a older Dell as well and it has a rather small hard drive which causes her some issues because she isn't versed in handling the clogging up of the drive with the result that she complains about it a lot. I've suggested one of these for her because it's so fast, so friendly and so easy to work with. I compared a number of models from several different companies and this one was head and shoulders above the others when you looked at feature to feature comparison. I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I needed another!
