Very happy with this device.
I am an amateur musician and sort-of song writer. I wanted a device that I could record a rhythm track with my guitar and then practice a lead over the top. I also wanted something to record an actual composed song with numerous tracks. I previously owned the BR 8 and was quite happy with it, but I wanted something a little more portable that could operate on batteries (this device also operates on an electric power supply) and had built in mics. And, I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. The BR 600 was what I choose to replace the BR 8 and I've been very happy with my choice. I've owned it for several months. While I prefer recording with an external mic (and I can do that with this machine), having the ability to just hit a button and record on the fly using the built in mics is a great option. I also like having built in drum sounds. There are aspects of the BR 600 that are not as intuitive as I found the BR 8 to be. Especially relative to rhythm/drum tracks. But, it has just taken a little more study time with the owner's manual and watching some videos I found online to figure it out. The sound is recorded onto a Flash Card. My unit came with a 128 meg card, but that filled up pretty quickly so I also purchased a couple extra 1 gig cards online. The cards are not abundant but can be found on the internet. The largest card the machine will accommodate is one gig. I tried a 2 gig card and it would not work. So far one gig seems to be plenty for my purposes but, if I stored a lot of completed songs on my device, I would need several disks. The ability to "bounce" tracks onto one master track and them upload that to my computer is fairly easy and results in a nice finished product that can be loaded from my computer to my music player. So, unless I want the ability to remix a song later, recordings can be easily saved and stored on my computer. If you are looking for an affordable recording device that will work well for practice as well as to make some great professional sounding song recordings, this would be a great choice.

Easy start and provides the power I need.
Started first or second pull on gas. On propane it was harder to start. Eventually found that if I repeatedly pull the rope with Mo pause between it starts after about 10 pulls or so. But it is easy to pull. I bought two generators and the work great in parallel. Happy with my purchase.
