This is a great quality camera considering the age. Canon holds its value, and buying an older piece was not worrisome at all.

Canon 50 mm 1.8 lens

It wasn’t mentioned in the post that the lens is a little stiff to adjust/focus, but not too disappointing for the lower cost. Manual and AF both work well, AF is just a little slower than what I would like, especially when using it for portraits with clients.
