The House at Otowi Bridge: The Story of Edith Warner and Los Alamos [Zia Books]

The world-renown scientists were real people too!
This is the story of Edith Warner who spent her life near Los Alamos in the high country of New Mexico and became an acquaintance of several notables from the project at Los Alamos. If you are on a New Mexico setting binge, this is one of the best. Or, like I was, on a Los Alamos project binge, this is a great, yet seemingly lesser known book. A lot about the social lives of those at Lo Alamos, and enough scientific discussion to make it interesting on that level as well. I highly recommend it!
