Whimpy
It would be a lot better if it wasn't made from REALLY soft plastic. It has NO RIGIDITY at all. IF you need to mount a strip to a round surface, this is for you.
There is no clamp mechanism to clamp the wires in place, just a screw that drives into the space.
SO, IF you are using SOLID wire it will work fine. IF you are using stranded wire, keep looking.

IF only it were backlighted!
I bought the Velleman meter because of it's size, 30 vdc range and price. It was going to be a dual purpose meter for a Astron RS35A power supply. As shipped the meter includes a multiplying resistor inside the meter. For my use I had to remove the resistor and use it externally. Access to the meter movement is easy and removal of the resistor was a breeze. The movement isn't sensitive at all. If you were to use a 75mv shunt the meter would never get past half scale. It's kinda hungry in that to see full scale it needs almost 140mv.
In Astron RS35M supplies, the current meter is just as hungry. It measures the voltage drop across ONE of the four power transistor emitter resistors. So using this meter wasn't "rocket surgery".
Using the Astron schematic as a reference and a toggle switch to select volts or amps, you too can have a dual purpose meter.

Have an exacto knife ready.
They fit my 2010 ST1300. At least they fit the openings in the mirrors. The bulb socket holes are another matter. You need to trim the light socket opening to correspond to the tabs on the actual light socket. Have an exacto knife available.
The foam is held on by double-sided tape. The tape doesn't work very well and you will find yourself tweaking the foam as the lens is installed.
Over all, it fits and it's clear. If you want to install switch back LEDs in your ST1300, they will do the job.
