Potentially the 1/2 Price WRG5's I was looking for
Overall for the price of these tires, I am pretty happy with what you get. It's a little more expensive than some of the cheaper tires you can buy but probably the cheapest all weather around. The quality seems good, seams are well done, tread looks well designed and well done, pretty even all around and balanced well and needed relatively little weight to make it perfect. Rides good, quieter than the older Kelly Edges that were on it. I have yet to try it in winter driving but being a 3PMS rated tire I hope that I can hold it to higher standards than the average all seasons. Also, I unfortunately haven't driven it 70k miles yet but it will be interesting to see if it holds to its 700AA rating, and I'll try to update this somehow if I don't try to sell the car before then. Overall these very well might be as close to 1/2 price Nokian WRG5's as they come.

A Caliper that's almost a Micrometer
Very consistent with repeatability and seems to be pretty accurate. Not sure if it's quite +/- .00015 accurate like most decent modern micrometers are but it seems pretty close, they have a calibration statement for within 5 tenths and it seems much tighter than that so considering they're calipers, I'm pretty happy. Not too many calipers have any better than 5 tenths resolution, talk about holding 5 tenths accuracy (Only one I can think of at the same level as this is the Fowler Sylvac S Cal Evo which is at least for all the time I've known, MUCH more expensive). Even though it's made in China, I can't really find anything that isn't up to snuff, jaws were done pretty well, looks and feels great to the touch and in operation, being tight in resolution with big caliper flats does mean it gets a little finnicky but keep the jaws clean and it didn't give me any reasons to complain. Haven't tested it with too much coolant but if it's IP67 coolant proof like it says it is than you're getting a pretty great product that your coworkers, friends, etc probably won't have that measures from 0 to 6, 8, or 12 inches depending on the model, and tries to compete with micrometers at the same time, with the convenience of calipers. I'd say that for that fact alone, I'd strongly recommend somebody give em a try. Or not, gives me more leverage to buy the 12 inch versions if nobody else does (I have the 8 inch currently).
