Ball would not move - seems like bad quality
The ball in the mouse would not move. When I finally was able to get it to move, the mouse scratched the surface of the ball.
It makes this awful scratching sound when I move the ball now.
I will look around for a replacement ball. I popped a ball from another Trackball Explorer mouse that I own, into this mouse, and while the mouse moved a lot better in the socket, there was still a small scratching noise.
Not happy - I am pretty sure I wasted $80+ on this mouse. It seems X05-87473 is NOT close to the X08-70390 in quality.
Update 10/01/2019 - I purchased another roller ball. It happened to be in excellent condition. I put it into this Explorer mouse with the Part Number X05-87473, and it now works fine. No scratching noise. Have to adjust rating, but still a little disappointed that that the original roller ball that came with this Explorer Mouse was pretty defective.
