About us

Kavanaugh Coins been selling coins on eBay for over 21 years. I started out as a casual coin collector. In late 1999 (when the State Quarters were just being released) I decided that I could turn my hobby into a business. It started out as a side business to supplement my income as a Sr. Quality Engineer at an Aerospace company. Finally, in 2020 Kavanaugh's Coins reached the point where I could leave my full time job and focus all of my time on the coin business. There is nothing better than working at something you enjoy and are passionate about. We specialize in the sale of domestic coins. Most recently, we have devoted our focus to Silver Eagles, Proof sets, Uncirculated sets, Modern Commemorative, and Special "W" Mint coins. Our primary focus is to identify "Modern Rarities" that we can offer to our customers which have great potential for future appreciation in value. We strive to always treat our customers the way we would like to be treated.

    By no fault what-so-ever of the seller, the delivery time was horrible. Original item was "lost" by USPS and had to be reshipped. USPS issued no response to the search when asked to do so. Yet, they continue to increase rates. It will take a coordinated effort on behalf of the sellers to force eBay to switch to a better service. It took a full MONTH to receive this item. It was as described and well packaged. Communication from seller was exceptional. Will do businesses with them again.

    Bought this as Pre-Sale auction. Shipping was fast from the time the coins were received by seller. Packaging was very good to protect graded coin. The Silver Egale is exactly as described and in pictures. I did get a terrific presale price and had great communication with seller. If you do not have ( Patience) do not buy pre-sales.
