A satisfactory and easy to use camera.
I love the way Nikon can make a user friendly camera that takes good pictues as well. The Coolpix L18 is not top of the line by any means, but it is very easy to use and good as an "instamatic" type of camera. I haven't used it too much yet, but noticed that the indoor, flash pictures look a little dark. I am using regular AA batteries instead of the recommended rechargeable ones, so maybe it isn't getting enough juice for a bright flash. Also, with the regular batteries, the view-screen is blurry for a second or two. I must wait until it clears to see a sharp picture. This only takes one or two seconds but it is noticeable. The camera does not have the eye-hole view finder, so you must rely on the 3" screen when composing your shots. As in all of these digital cameras, the screen is not good in bright sun, but useable. I'm satisfied for the price, but do miss the higher magnification of my other camera. This one is very convenient and fits in a pocket.

Not Trustworthy
I used the charger 3 times during a recent trip. The charger worked fine the first time, did not work the 2nd time, and worked the 3rd time after some wiggling. The battery that came with the charger worked for a while but my camera developed an internal problem. Unknown source of problem.

Not quite perfect
1 of 1 found this helpful The purse holds a lot and has 4 nice outside pockets. My 2 complaints are that there is no inside zipper pocket, and the strap is of a slippery material so it keeps slipping off my shoulder. There are 5 slots on the inside to hold 5 credit cards, but no other wallet features built in. I use this purse on a daily basis, and it works well for me except for the slippery strap. I'm going to stitch a layer of non-slippery material to the underside of the fabric strap so that it won't slip. The strap will no longer be adjustable, but not a problem for me.
