This watch is perfect for someone who is a more technical runner. I have run for 50 years and use this to
improve my interval training without having to run 20 miles per day...at my age not a good idea. I have been able to medal in both the 10k and the half marathon in my age group by using the interval system.
this watch gives you instant feedback and the ability to see a lot of information by swiping the screen. To get the full benefit you need the more advanced chest strap (like $80 min it has the red cover).
The other benefit is you can use the other garmin stuff..it recognizes my footpad etc.
When not using the gps the thing runs for a long time...gps is about 11 hours. recharging is easy
The hookup with the iPhone is interesting if you want to hear or feel each text or call on your wrist from your iPhone or android
learning curve is not bad

0 of 2 found this helpful These are sturdy and well made but the thing rotates constantly so in the open position the flap lies right in front of your bolt...it is designed to turn and spin freely...I have a lot of leopoldo stuff and this is the first time I would say don't
buy this one...I will sell you mine for half price
