Hidden gem of a movie, this is the version you want
First off, this movie is extraordinary, of its time but smart, creepy and a sophisticated sci-fi concept wrapped up in a monster flick, with haunting images. Can't beat Cushing and Lee together either! This movie scared the crap out of me but also inspired me as a child, and possibly introduced me to Cushing and Lee. It deserves to be better known than it is. Fans of vintage horror need this. This is the DVD to get. I bought a different edition first and it was awful, looked and sounded like a v old vhs tape, returned it. THIS one is clear picture, great sound, widescreen, looks about as good as a 70s movie can get (without being a hi def restoration), you can see a little grain on a modern flat screen but it's not distracting. Be aware there is no menu or subtitles, either analog or digital, but sound is good so your average person wouldn't need them.

Movie is a hidden gem, quality of this dvd is awful
This movie is truly special, and deserves to be properly remastered, not transferred from a terrible vhs tape, which is what this DVD looks like (region free, green cover). This edition also has no subtitles at all, analog or digital, but is at least letterboxed. I would give the movie 5 stars, avoid this edition of the dvd. I'll be looking for a good quality remaster and returning this.

Fits small person well
Fits me great - I'm a small woman and was worried it would be too large. Chin strap is snug but not too tight. Again, I'm v small tho. Idk if it would fit a larger person, I'd be cautious if you are tall or have large head. Should fit an older child well too!
