Works for gigabit Xfinity *if you pretend it's SB8200*
4 of 4 found this helpful Can be activated on Xfinity if you tell them it is *SB8200*. Working great and provides gigabit speeds!
Do not try to activate it as "CM8200" or "CM8200A"; Xfinity does not support it under that name (they only have the slower CM820A).
BTW, the product I received was more specifically CM8200A, not just CM8200.
