No more DipSwitches :)
I have an older Genie BlueMax garage door opener - one of the ones with the dipswitches used to pair a remote opener to the door. I ran across this little item - mainly because I wanted a wireless door opener to mount on the wall outside my house. I was VERY pleased that you do NOT need to set any dipswitches (on the Klik2U) to pair it to a door opener. It is all done programatically from the keyboard. You DO need to know the dipswitch settings on your door motor, but once you get that just follow the instructions to pair the Klik2U. I liked this device so much as an outside remote wireless opener that I purchased a 2nd one to keep in my car, replacing the older one-button (dipswitched) unit I hadbeen using.
Personally, I much prefer having to enter a security code to open the garage - even from within the car. The idea that anyone potentially stealing my car can get my address, and then open my garage door without any security code appalls me - and having to enter the 4-digit security code on the car unit is a small inconvenience to suffer whilst greatly increasing my peace of mind knowing that both my outside the house AND my car unit both are secured.
The pricing was also very good - much cheaper than the units specifically made for the older Genie BlueMax motors opener.

I use these as window coverings (in Florida), Doing the living room windows with these can reduce summer heat by 15-20 degrees easily, and make the A/C unit work easier. A few tiny squares of double-sided tape around the window frame, then cut a sheet to fit and attach to the tape. Instant window tinting for your house :)
