Amazing lense! But needs calibration!
15 of 16 found this helpful Most people would compare this to the canon version the 85Lii, and comparing the prices 1800 for the canon and 1200 for the sigma there's no reason to buy the canon, the sigma is just sharper, faster, has less CA, it's just overall a better lense, don't get me wrong the canon is legendary, but this sigma is somewhat of a evolution of what the canon would have been if it ever be updated, but like I said for this lense to truly perform at 100 it needs to be calibrated ...sad I know, out of the box this lense was back focusing on everything short distances or infinity it was just not focusing properly, that's what the sigma dock is for, yes for a lens at this price it shouldn't need no calibration and sigma needs to up thiere QA game, if you want to save 600 bucks get the sigma and calibrate it yourself, if you can't handle a simple lense calibration, look else where, once calibrated this lens is spot on, very accurate, extremely sharp! It's just an amazing piece of glass, heavy yes! But I like the weight. Bokeh is just amazing as you can see in the two images I provided, it has a slight lens curvature that I like depending the background of course. I would have given it a four stars because of the calibration issues but if you can look past that and do the calibration yourself which only takes an hour or two at most you will have a very accurate and well built lens for life.

Best clear for the price. Period!
16 of 16 found this helpful If you know what your doing and know how to lay the clear down professionally and know how to clean and prime your parts right. There is absolutely no reason this clear will not give you excellent results, it lays down nice and wet and cures a nice glossy finish, no fisheyes or orange peel, again for the one review that got a bad result, you didn't properly prepare your surface, that's not the clears fault, it's yours. Period.
