Ruins records
4 of 4 found this helpful This turntable is made out of flimsy plastic material. The wood is fake, and is pressed cardboard. Not a good buy. The tone arm, puts about 5 grams of weight on your record...cutting into each groove that it passes through. The tone arm also causes the needle to "lean" to one side, which wears out the record unevenly and more so. Compare this to a Mack Truck driving against a guard rail 70 miles an hour down a highway. DO NOT waste your money on this, instead purchase a real phonograph made when they were the norm. You can get them for less money, they are the real thing, and they baby your records so that your Mother's or Grandmother's record collection can be passed down to your children and Grand Children.

Phonograph Cartridge Tracking Force Accuracy
I purchased this scale (which is not designated for one use only, but can be used for a myriad of uses) to use to weigh the tracking force of my 1955 Voice Of Music tone arm and Electro-Voice cartridge. The scale was accurate and worked fine in weighing my tone arm. I did not need to use the attachment and the scale worked fine with just placing the tone arm on the center of the scale. I approve of this product, and you should too.

Great little needle for vintage Astatic!
This needle makes my 78s sound great. I have a 1955 Voice Of Music that had the original needle from 60 years ago. My records sound great, and clear. The only thing is that I was a little careless installing the needle. I didn't see the directions to use a pair of tweezers. So like an bull in a china shop I tried jamming the needle into the cartridge with my fingers (because it was very difficult to get it under the rubber button). I was more rough than I should have been before I got a pair of tweezers and pushed the needle in. After I put the needle in, I looked at the back of the box, and of course, it says to use tweezers in the directions. Even with my rough handling, the needle performs great and has no issues. Will purchase one again (and use tweezers).
